As a product owner who uses LaunchDarkly, my preference is to always abstract complexity if its not core to my product. I am always an advocate for tools and services that allow me to get to market quicker, while reducing long-term overhead. An internal service like LD would need to be built and also maintained. I think many people overestimate the complexity of services like this; it seems simple but execution is always more difficult (scale, bugs, features, etc). Cheers to LD for providing this service so my team can concentrate on our core.

great read, well done Paul Arnold

Ah thanks

Anyone else experienced a service doing this?

Anyone think that the reservation numbers might be inflated?

welcome to christmas...

This was a decision that was made with careful thought. Because most of the rebuild was matching feature parity, our current customers would get little benefit from the new platform because they have already launched their site and building their audience. The new suite of features that we're announcing benefit our Customers who have not launched a site yet. Due to the size of the rebuild, this was just not a possibility, unfortunately.
