> I don’t understand how I grew up thinking USA is the gold standard is good and China just make cheap copies and is bad.

Hollywood.

What does China do that US does not?

They are releasing open models, so at-least up until now their advancements you can run yourself.

US frontier labs on the other hand keep it all to themselves. The moment they cut access you have nothing and your country will be stumped on and forced in making decisions not in your national interest.

>What does China do that US does not?

Support the enemies of my country, most probably.

With Trump, this has admittedly become a bit more non-obvious, but I think it's mainly still so.

This is literal whataboutism. Refute the comment if you have a valid point to make.

Erm, no? it is pointing out hypocrisy?

If you are against the thing China does, when US does the thing also be against it.

US has always done what China does, now trump is doing it vocally.

So it is easier to point out the hypocrisy in it.

Before there was plausible deniability.

Thank you for your attention to this matter

Hi, unrelated:

Your personal website has an expired certificate.

Seems like it expired end of Feb.

Thanks! Certbot did renew it but looks like something went wrong.

> EU has their own groups using it for propaganda too.

What is the context or source here?

buy a domain.

create icloud account.

use their custom domain email setup (free btw) - https://support.apple.com/en-us/102540

Start replacing important account emails with your custom domain.

Every time you get an important email in gmail, login and update.

Bonus: icloud let's you create catch all emails, so you can create many burner emails such as [email protected]

How is it free?

> When you subscribe to iCloud+, you can use a custom domain name

Here is the original X link to the Xcancel link you posted. I'm morally against Xcancel

I would love to explain to Sam Altman that Elon Musk is a bad person and using his platform isn’t a sensible decision, but I feel like he remembers more evidence of that than I ever will be able to imagine.

Scam Altman is on the same level as musk.

nah

Agree materially no consequences but still better than many deflection strategies we have seen from others during layoffs.

> But China has some of the most imperialist policies in the world.

Citation needed?

US and allies have invaded or intervened in 20+ countries in last 20 years in the name of "western values" where values means $$$$ and hegemony.

Educate me please with a comparison of what China has done to be "some of the most imperialist policies"?

> Educate me please with a comparison of what China has done to be "some of the most imperialist policies"?

Tibet occupation. Taiwan encirclement and ongoing military exercises. Strong-arming African and Asian countries that made the mistake of signing up for belt & road. Tianenmen Square. Illegal Foreign Police Stations. Uyghurs/Xinjiang genocide and concentration camps. Repeated invasion and occupation of Indian territory in North East and North West. The Great Firewall of China - occupation and suppression of its own populations. Ongoing Han settlement of Tibet, Xinjiang and other ethnic regions. Violent destruction of Hong Kong democracy (that was condition of handover). Spratly Islands occupation. Attacks on Filipino shipping and coast guard. Ongoing attacks on Japan's Senkaku Islands.

Tibet Hong Kong / Macau Taiwan Everything constantly in the South China Sea Belt and Roads is effectively the Marshall Plan but even bigger - Africa being the major example, but also Eastern Europe, parts of the middle east, etc. Over 100 countries. This exact playbook is what sets up the infrastructure and reasons for military intervention at a later date - protecting your investments.

Maybe it's time to learn some facts https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sino-Vietnamese_Wars

NSA spied on European leaders[1] and we did nothing. So yes, nothing happens.
